The London & District Academy of Medicine has recently received a request for a letter supporting a Family Health Team (FHT) application proposal. The London & District Academy of Medicine supports initiatives leading to collaborative projects involving physicians and multi disciplinary teams. We wish all the best to all the applicants. However we do not feel it is appropriate for the Academy to support individual projects or team projects competing for the same finite resources. We have prepared a concise letter supporting the principles of interdisciplinary collaboration and the team approach envisioned in the Family Health Team approach. The letter will be available upon request to the applicants for the FHT project. Please allow several days for turnover of your request.
